Valeria Teo is a writer and an independent traveler. Her passion for travel has taken her to nearly 30 countries since 1992. The trip to Croatia in 2007 has brought her a husband and her first Chinese novel. Writing, her best loved pastime, was turned into her vocation when the novel was published in 2009. Having published three novels and a collection of essays, Valeria contributes regularly to Suite101 and ToCroatia.net. Besides being a regular blogger for the Hong Kong travel site UTravel, she writes for magazines, newspapers and online publications in both English and Chinese.

Born in Hong Kong, Valeria now divides her time between her homes in Split, Croatia and Hong Kong.
